Since 2008, Jambo has been on a mission to make stakeholder engagement and consultation simpler, more meaningful, and more impactful for the people doing the work and the communities they serve.
Jambo was founded in 2008 by people who understood, first-hand, just how difficult stakeholder engagement and Indigenous relations work could be; time-consuming, complex, and too often managed through spreadsheets that weren't built for the job.
The goal was straightforward: build software that actually reflects how engagement professionals work, so they can spend less time managing data and more time building relationships that matter.

Today
Trusted by governments and leading organizations worldwide
Jambo is used by government agencies, energy companies, infrastructure teams, and consultation professionals across Canada, the US, the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East. The mission hasn't changed: build trust through better engagement.
Stakeholder Relationship Management is not CRM. CRM software was built for sales teams managing customer pipelines. SRM software was built for engagement and consultation teams managing complex, ongoing relationships with communities, regulators, governments, and the public.
Jambo created this distinction in 2018 because the difference matters in practice: the data you capture, the workflows you need, the reports you produce, and the relationships you're accountable for are fundamentally different from a sales funnel. The right software should reflect that.
When evaluating any platform, it's worth asking whether it was designed around the engagement process or whether it's a database with engagement features bolted on.
Our customer success team holds IAP2 certifications, the internationally recognized standard for public participation professionals. We bring engagement expertise, not just product knowledge.
Jambo was developed in close collaboration with stakeholder engagement professionals, and our customers' insights inform our new features. Every feature reflects real workflow needs because the people who helped design it do this work.
With offices in Canada, Ireland, and Croatia, and customers across seven countries, Jambo offers North American and European account management with support available 9 am – 11 pm UK time.
ISO 27001 and ISO 27017 certified, hosted on SOC-2 compliant AWS, EU and UK GDPR compliant. Jambo meets the procurement and security requirements of government agencies and regulated industries.
Our name, Jambo (jam-bo!), is a Swahili greeting similar in meaning to the English word "Hello." We chose it because all engagements start with hello, but the meaning runs deeper than that for our whole team.
Stakeholder engagement is more than a legal requirement or a way to gain project approvals. Done well, it's an opportunity to build genuine trust, give communities a meaningful voice, and create outcomes that benefit everyone involved. That's the work we're here to support.
In 2019, Jambo officially joined the Pledge 1% global movement, committing 1% of its profits to Classrooms for Africa. This charitable organization provides direct assistance to communities in disadvantaged areas of Sub-Saharan Africa to build classrooms, dormitories, and school facilities.
